Basic Job Functions:
- · Set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to bend, form, or straighten metal materials according to specifications.
- · Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
- · Select proper tooling, dies, punches, and back gauges based on job requirements.
- · Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
- · Perform machine adjustments to maintain correct part dimensions and ensure consistent production output.
- · Monitor machine operation and identify issues related to material, tooling, or equipment performance.
- · Safely load and unload materials, following proper handling procedures.
- · Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and reporting needed repairs.
- · Keep work area cleaned and organized, following Nucor safety and housekeeping standards.
- · Support other fabrication or production departments as needed based on workflow.
- · Adhere to all safety policies, ensuring safe operation of machinery and equipment at all times.
- · Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
- · 5+ years of experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment
- · Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings
- · Advanced understanding of measurements, fractions, and basic math
- · Experience using hand tools and power tools
- · Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and protractors
- · Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- · Previous experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- · High school diploma or equivalent
- · Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices
- · Ability to read and use precise measurement tools to tight tolerances
