Basic Job Functions:
The Material Handling Process Engineer will be an integral part of the Shipping team responsible for working with our teammates to create Operational and Commercial Excellence, performing the following activities:
- Implement and facilitate best practices that drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity for our team and customers.
- Technical resource to the team in the Material Handling areas, responsible for implementing new technologies and developing process specific training to expand the knowledge of our team
- Initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards
- Assist with Scheduling and dispatching of trucks and able to cover for dispatcher as needed
- Develop and maintain KPI for Shipping including operative performance, freight cost and carrier performance
- Participate in freight negotiations, looking to optimize shipping cost as well as keeping target service levels

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Supply Chain, Industrial or Mechanical)
- Proven analytical skills including advanced Excel and statistical tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the use of ERP system, particularly D365.
- Project management certification
- Continuous Improvement certification
