Basic Job Functions:

NTP Louisville is seeking a strong leader and self-motivated Engineer that will be an integral part of the Quality Team leadership. This individual will be responsible for working with internal and external customers to manage and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.

 

The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties related to Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction. They will coordinate with both internal and external customers to ensure alignment between the Business Goals, Quality Management System, and Customer Expectations. Responsibilities:

  • · Drive Continuous Improvement activities based on Customer Satisfaction, Process/Product Performance, Audit reports and other inputs as needed.
  • · Develop and refine process control systems for Electroplating, Galvanizing, Welding and Threading manufacturing processes.
  • · Work directly with customers to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • · Engage with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams in process improvement, product development, and capital expenditure projects.
  • · Work with critical suppliers for development, validation, and control of raw material inputs in manufacturing processes.
  • · Execution of internal and external Quality Audits in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • · Develop and improve internal documentation to maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

Safety is an important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures and housekeeping standards to make safety a priority at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • · 4-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

    · 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

    · Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.

    · Advanced time management and analytical skills.

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    · Strong leadership and motivational skills.

    · Ability to travel overnight for training, customer visits, supplier visits, audits and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience/training in a Manufacturing or Quality-related function.
  • Knowledge and training in ISO9001:2015, UL, and ANSI Standard requirements for Steel Conduit
  • Strong Computer skills in software packages: Microsoft Office
