NTP-LV - Process Engineer

Basic Job Functions:

NTP is seeking a strong leader and self-motivated Engineer. The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties related to engineering and maintenance in an industrial setting. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are aligned with our business goals and company’s mission. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit into Nucor’s culture. The job requires some overtime hours and travel. The Process Engineer position is an integral member of the operations team. This individual will be responsible in leading the efforts to continually improve our safety, quality, cost, reliability, productivity, profitability, and team member development of our division.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Meet with internal clients to achieve project goals, expectations and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Clearly communicate project tasks, scopes and duration to teammates involved.
• Track project performance for the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
• Meet budgetary objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with team members and the managers.
• Use and continually develop leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Galvanizing experience.
• 2 – 5 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated computer skill with AutoCAD and SolidWorks (equivalent).
