Engineer (Operations Engineering)

Basic Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
• Conduct research and analysis to improve existing systems and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Perform commissioning, testing, and validation of engineering designs.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in engineering design and development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Knowledge of safety programs such as LOTO.
