Melt Shop Shift Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Melt Shop Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor will promote and enhance Safety as our #1 value, establish expectations, develop best practices, and ensure consistency in the operations. Responsibilities also include; assessing performance at a team member, crew and department level, evaluate shop needs, develop team members, serve as a resource for operating crews, lead throughout the plant and participate in strategic planning for the department. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Leadership Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Melting, Casting and/or Refractory Experience

Total compensation for this position is expected to be $140,000- $170,000.
