Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking an Automation Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing multi-axis robots, automated cranes, and various automation systems. This shift-based role requires proficiency in Level 1 and Level 2 automation systems. The ideal candidate should have a passion for continuous learning, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Automated Equipment: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on multi-axis robots, automated cranes, and various automation systems to ensure smooth, reliable operation.
- PLC and HMI Expertise: Manage, troubleshoot, and program PLCs and HMIs for efficient control of automated systems.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Oversee Level 2 systems for optimal operation, monitoring system performance, identifying improvement areas, and applying best practices.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and adjustments on all automated systems.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving industry practices, and contribute to process enhancements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and organizational protocols.
- Drive a stronger safety culture by modeling safe practices and enforcing standards.
- Contribute to division-wide initiatives to reduce risk and improve operational performance.
- Mentor and train teammates on automation systems, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Background: Proven experience or certification in automation, robotics, or related fields.
- PLC/HMI Knowledge: Proficiency with PLC programming, as well as experience in HMI systems.
- Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems and diagrams.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Networking Skills: Experience troubleshooting industrial network communication issues, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the network team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Industry Standards Knowledge: Understanding of industrial safety standards and compliance protocols.
- PLC/HMI Knowledge: Siemens PLCs and Intouch HMI.
- Experience with industrial electronics, VFDs, and motor controls.
