Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

PURPOSE:

Assist project team in the coordination of detailed projects including proper recordkeeping, on-time delivery of materials, and change order management.  Cultivate a positive customer service environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter all accessory and mesh orders into Navision
  • Obtain quotes for all non-stock accessory and mesh items
  • Place orders for accessories in a timely manner
  • Track accessory and mesh order costs by job
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding change orders exceeding 15 days
  • Recommend change orders in Navision and maintain proper filing within job folders
  • Enter retail orders into Navision
  • Coordinate with placing and shipping teams for pre-tied cage projects
  • Import releases as requested to support project execution
  • Enter drawings and weights for 3rd party detailers
  • Establish and maintain organized job folders
  • Manage accessory returns when applicable
  • Collect Bills of Lading (BOL) and Mill Certifications, file into correct job folders
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • High school diploma, GED, or local/state equivalent
  • Three years of project coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in construction environment preferred
  • Two-year degree from accredited school or college, preferably in Construction Management or Architectural Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of reinforcing bar detailing
  • Previous work experience with concrete and/or rebar
  • Experience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes
  • Possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to creatively problem-solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of standard business practices
