Basic Job Functions:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for building, leading, and developing the Accounting and Purchasing team.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, project accounting, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting, costing files, assisting with annual budget, monthly balancing, inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or direct related work experience
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a financial related position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA and/or CMA
  • Master’s degree
  • Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience
  • Leadership/supervisory experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
