Occupational Health Coordinator

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Insulated Panel Group (NIPG), a proud Nucor product group, is one of North America’s largest and most experienced manufacturers of Insulated Metal Panels. With 8 locations throughout the United States and 1 location in Canada. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Manage medical surveillance programs, including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and other regulatory requirements across multiple locations.
• Manage with workers' compensation case management and injury follow-up.
• Maintain health records and ensure confidentiality of medical information.
• Manage the first responder program and directives within Nucor Insulated Panel Group.
• Manage essential functions within Nucor Insulated Panel Group.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver occupational health training programs.
• Support incident investigations by identifying occupational health factors and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA and other applicable occupational health regulations.
• Collaborate with EHS, Human Resources, supervisors, and healthcare providers on Teammate matters.
• Promote wellness initiatives and teammate health education programs.
• Track and report occupational health metrics and trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Health, Safety, or a related field.
• Four years of occupational health, health care, or EHS experience.
• Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills.  
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to travel in the US and internationally up to 50% of the time.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN), Occupational Health Nurse (COHN/COHN-S), or related certifications.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
• Experience managing workers’ compensation and Return-To-Work programs.
• Experience with hearing conservation, respiratory protections, and ergonomic programs.
