NIPG Scheduler

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the NIPG scheduler include but are not limited to: Effectively communicate across all NIPG locations to plan, develop and maintain production schedules based on overall demand. Analyze schedule, have scheduling errors corrected, make recommendations to maximize capacity and improve overall NIPG efficiency. Communicate schedule changes with the relevant stakeholders. Review incoming order requirements and create the most optimized production schedule weighing customer and business needs. Review the sales backlog, our future schedules and use your general business acumen to create and issue production lead-time and scheduling guidelines based on location and product. Individual will need to become proficient in the products, limitations, and capabilities for all manufacturing locationsSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to travel on occasion.
• Understanding of the scheduling and production process.
• Understanding of how supply chain impact scheduling and production.
• Strong business acumen.
• Extremely proficient in production planning systems, such as MRP and various ERP’s.
