Basic Job Functions:
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in shaping the visual identity of the organization. This role is responsible for creating compelling, on-brand design assets across print and digital channels, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring brand consistency throughout the company’s communications. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing team to produce designs that create generous and remarkable materials from pre-press through completion; and will work in collaboration with others to help maintain the visual image and standards of the organization.
This is a pivotal creative role where you’ll uphold and evolve brand standards giving you a sense of ownership. You’re not just executing tasks — you’re shaping the brand’s future and ensuring consistency at scale.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4-7 years of related experience.
- Ability to provide strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both print and digital design.
- Understanding of digital ad specifications, responsive design, and basic UX principles.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with Figma or similar tools
- Solid foundational visual design skills – e.g., typography, layout, color, and information hierarchy. Illustration skills are a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field
- Creative inventor and innovator with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for web asset optimization
- Familiarity with marketing automation or CMS platforms
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
