Design Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

• Lead and supervise the Engineering team to take care of our customers by:
  • Providing mentoring, coaching and accountability
  • Assuring consistent application of current policies, procedures, and practices
  • Monitoring and reporting weekly payroll information, tracking, and coordinating vacation
  • Overseeing and managing individual work schedules
  • Providing “World Class” service, meeting customer needs quickly and effectively.
• Partner with Division Leadership team to drive continuous improvement.
• Support business development through customer and specifier interactions

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Registered PE

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience
• Insulated Metal Panel, Metal Buildings or Structural Steel Design and/or Detailing Experience
• Building code experience with IBC, ASCE, IECC, etc.
