DETAILING LEAD

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the Detailing Group Leader include but are not limited to: effectively leading the Detailers assigned to his/her group, ensuring aggressive deadlines are met, scope definition, continual communication, and follow-up.  Along with the Supervisor the Group Lead offers direction, growth, and feedback opportunities to the Detailing Group, including: 

• Coach the Nucor Safety Culture and promote a positive and safe workplace
• Train new hire detailers on drafting standards, installation processes, and day to day duties
• Check and oversee projects of teammates
• Lead and manage teammates to be successful
• Develop new standards
• Manage and implement new tools
• Software Testing
• Manage teams’ project schedules and work schedules
• Drive department goals
• Lead special internal department projects
• Ability to read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings
• Setting expectations for progress, productivity, participation, and conduct (quality, efficiency, work habits, overtime, etc.). 
• Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and training employees.
