Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The EAF Lead builds a strong safety culture and leads the selection, training, and development of the team, working with plant leadership to set consistent standards and evaluate teammates for operational positions. Leads must be willing to cross-train across positions within the department and fill in as needed to support operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Melt Shop Experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Prior teammate training and development.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
