Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking an automation tech to better support the team’s automation needs here at Nucor Steel, Kingman.
The site features state-of-the-art controls, automation, and robotics for advanced steel manufacturing. The candidate will help safely support the continued improvement and maintenance of these systems.

- Role will be a field focused position improving process and equipment operation
- Maintains proficiency in required skill areas
- Must be available for trouble calls outside of scheduled hours, including nights and weekends, and available to support planned outages and down days through startup.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience with automation systems developing/troubleshooting logic in an industrial environment
- Diverse background in PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls
- Industrial electrical and controls experience, including troubleshooting field devices and power circuits through to the automation systems that control them

Preferences:
- Experience with HMI software development
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and ABB drives
