Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Texas is seeking a leader for the position of Sales Manager. This Department Manager level position reports directly to the General Manager. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leadership role in promoting Nucor’s Mission ensuring safety is instilled as a value, an appropriate focus on community & environmental stewardship, and a proven focus on profitability.
- Creating and executing a commercial and sales strategy for the division and their team.
- Developing team members through building relationships, training, and individual coaching.
- Analyzing data and situations, thinking strategically, negotiating effectively, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working collaboratively within the team to motivate and inspire an entire operation as part of the Leadership Team at Nucor Steel Texas.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in commercial, sales, and/or marketing roles.
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct people leadership experience, including responsibility for team performance and development.
- Proven experience with pricing, margin management, negotiation, and customer portfolio strategy.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into executable commercial strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Business or Marketing.
- Prior sales or commercial leadership experience in steel industry or manufacturing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Semi-Finish, SBQ, MBQ and Rebar business.
- Willing to relocate within Nucor as future advancement opportunities arise.
