Job Duties: Plan, Develop, Execute and Commission process automation projects for steel manufacturing involving Field sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers – PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), Human-Machine Interfaces HMIs (Wonderware, FactoryTalk and WinCC). Support Manufacturing and Maintenance operations. Work with the Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams to maintain and optimize the production processes applying Control System Theory. Prepare AC & DC Motors and Drives and ISA-95 Information Layers that span physical processes to business related activities. Perform Ethernet Network Setup and Troubleshooting, as well as generating a reliable identification and documentation of control devices on switches. Develop Industrial Communication Protocol (Profinet, Profibus, EthernetIP, ControlNet, Modbus) rules that govern data exchange between devices in industrial automation systems. Manage, organize, and strengthen the data acquisition systems at hardware and software level including IbaPDA, IbaHD, and IbaAnalyzer. Work with Maintenance and production teams on CEA project preparation and execution. Support the Process and Metallurgic team on the requirements for data and control systems integration. Act as a liaison with external contractors in the execution of industrial automation and modernization projects. Ensure high reliability for our Technological Infrastructure to drive business results. 10% International and Domestic Travel for factory acceptance tests, meetings, and trainings.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Process, Electronic, or Automation Engineering and five (5) years of experience in controls and automation engineering and maintenance in an industrial setting. Experience must include: PLCs installation, configuration and development including Siemens or Allen Bradley; HMI developing, troubleshooting and support including System Platform, Intouch, Factory Talk View, or WinCC HMIs; Utilizing Control System Theory and Ethernet Network Setup and Troubleshooting; Developing Industrial Communication Protocol (Profinet, Profibus, EthernetIP, ControlNet, Modbus) rules that govern data exchange between devices in industrial automation systems; and Preparing AC & DC Motors and Drives and ISA-95 Information Layers that span physical processes to business-related activities. 10% International and Domestic Travel for factory acceptance tests, meetings, and trainings.
