Basic Job Functions:

Rytec Corporation is seeking an Electrical Application Specialist for developing, maintaining, updating, current and future electrical schematics and technical documents as they relate to electrical products. The Electrical Applications Specialist will strive to provide the highest level of accuracy, by clearly communicating with members of the Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical Support teams to provide schematically correct solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner.

 

Additional Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain electrical circuit layouts and detailed production schematics for current and future products.

· Create, revise, and update electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

· Prioritize and manage workload to support production schedules, parts orders, engineering changes, and retrofit schematic updates.

· Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Support, Sales, and other internal teams to gather information and develop accurate electrical solutions.

· Produce clear, user-friendly, and professional documentation appropriate for various audiences and business needs.

· Maintain and organize electrical documentation and information architecture to ensure efficient access, consistency, and version control.

· Review and verify schematic accuracy, resolving discrepancies and implementing corrections as needed.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance electrical documentation processes, standards, and system efficiency.

· Assist with troubleshooting and technical inquiries related to electrical schematics and product configurations.

· Electrical Knowledge - Knowledge of basic electrical theory, including basic troubleshooting, installation, repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment.

· Technical Knowledge - This will be written within the context of the position being evaluated. (knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations including NEC and UL508A requirements to support design, installation, troubleshooting, and compliance activities)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Associate's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field?

· Experience with electrical systems, schematics, controls, PLCs, industrial automation, or related products/applications?

· Experience creating, updating, or interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using CAD or similar design software?

· Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or product development activities in a manufacturing environment?

· Familiar with applicable electrical standards and requirements of NEC and UL508A?

· Experience using 3D CAD software for modeling, design, or documentation?

· Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues involving electrical and/or mechanical systems?

· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate documentation?

· Ability to safely use standard hand tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment (or obtain required certifications as needed)?
