Power Engineer

Basic Job Functions:

The role of Power Engineer includes but is not limited to ensuring proper maintenance and reliability of the electrical power systems throughout the plant.  The Power Engineer will be expected to coordinate with all areas of the plant on projects and improvements as it pertains to the electrical systems of the plant.  The Power Engineer will also assist with education and training of plant electrical personnel, coordinate corrective actions and best practices, and communicate with other divisions on electrical power related issues.  This position requires working scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Accredited electrical degree, accredited electrical certification beyond high school, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in power engineering or electrical maintenance in heavy industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 year B.S.E.E.
• Five years of power engineering and/or power systems maintenance experience
