Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Crane and Mobile Maintenance HVAC Technician includes but is not limited to maintaining the air conditioning systems for all plant mobile equipment and overhead traveling cranes; troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, ordering parts, preparing work orders, and ensuring safety is always the first concern while working at extreme heights and in a demanding environment. Ability to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC repair
- Must be able to obtain required HVAC certifications within six months of position start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding and fabrication background
- Overhead traveling crane maintenance experience
- Mobile equipment maintenance experience
