Electrical Technician

Basic Job Functions:

The Electrical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment . Additionally, as a part of the Berkeley team the  Electrical Technician is required to assist both Production and Mechanical departments as necessary. Must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience

2. High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Motor, motor controls, and AC drive understanding

2. Power Distribution and High Voltage understanding

3. PC, Network and PLC experience (AB and Siemens)

4. HMI programming experience (Wonderware)
