Cold Mill Galv Line Daylight Tester

Compensation Data

Estimated Salary Compensation: $80,000-$90,000/year. Actual compensation based on production bonus. 

Basic Job Functions:

The basic role of the Galvanizing Line Day Tester includes but is not limited to:
 

• Communicate day-to-day activities to the exit end personnel.
• Coordinate cut-backs and re-tests.
• Fill in when needed at tester.
• Maintain good condition of testing tools and equipment.
• Assist Cold Mill Quality Tech with equipment calibration and auditing.
• Coordinating scrap and cut-back coil removal from exit end.
• Knowledge of customer requirements.
• Inventory & organize consumables on Galv Line (i.e. strapping, stencil ink, etc.)
• Assist with product disposition including automatic inspection.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years - Experience testing with understanding product or process requirements.
• 2 years – Experience coaching or leading a small (<5 person) group or team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tester experience
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Crane operator certification
• Training, coaching, or development experience
