Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

  • You will be responsible for following our safety procedures to ensure the process is safe for yourself and those working around the machine.
  • This is a production oriented position that requires attention to detail and ability to work in a team
  • Follow safety procedures while using proper personal protective equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Weighing material on floor scale with a forklift. Listening to the machine run in order to troubleshoot issues.
  • Recognize employee strengths and weaknesses and positioning them accordingly proactively regarding operations.
  • Identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain equipment and scheduling Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Cleaning the inside, outside and areas around the machine.
  • Communicating with the team to ensure positive morale.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial/Outdoor work
  • Environment Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a Team Environment
  • Experience operating a skid steer, forklift, front-end loader, etc.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and others.
