Basic Job Functions:

 

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HR Manager to lead Human Resources functions for the Division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

· Benefits: Oversees benefits (medical/dental, flexible spending accounts, vision, life, disability, 401k retirement savings plan, EAP, wellness initiatives, onsite medical clinic) and FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA administration.

· Compensation/Payroll: Oversees weekly payroll administration and attendance tracking.

· Employee Relations: Handles division-wide communication, responds to teammate and manager concerns, assists with investigations, provides counsel/guidance regarding policies/procedures, and organizes company functions.

· Employment: Oversees terminations in accordance with legal/regulatory requirements.

· Multi-Facility Management: Responsible for HR duties at all three NWS locations (Los Angeles, CA, Houston, TX, and Monroe, GA)

· Training/Development: Oversees division-wide training activities and assists with teammate development.

· Public/Community Relations: Oversees community support activities and advertising.

· Participates in developing/implementing strategic plans to meet objectives

· Payroll Taxes: Oversee payroll taxes and quarterly and annual tax filings

 

.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

· Five years of human resources experience 

· No relatives currently employed at Nucor Warehouse Systems

· Travel as needed (approximately 25%)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with California State employment laws and regulations.

· Previous leadership experience

· Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment

· Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations

· SAP/SuccessFactors or HRIS software experience

· SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification

· Ability to speak and understand Spanish
