Basic Job Functions:
SUMMARY:
The Capacity Planner will be responsible for scheduling and maintaining the production order schedules for all work centers to ensure optimal capacity is reached per schedule requirements. This role will ensure a streamlined workflow of fabricated parts into assembly teams to drive on time shipments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Evaluate the current capabilities of each work center, including production rates, cycle times, labor, and potential downtime to determine overall capacity.
- Develop production schedules based on available work center capacity, considering product mix and priority levels.
- Identify areas where work centers are limiting production and report to Operations team.
- Compare projected demand against available work center capacity to identify potential shortages and plan necessary adjustments.
- Communicate production plans and changes to relevant teams.
- Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with quality control team to address defects or process issues.
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensuring the alignment of per door and stock parts on a complete door order basis to flow through and arrive at assembly on the scheduled day to assemble prior to shipping.
- Coordinating all fabricated and subcontracted parts to meet scheduled ship date.
- Monitoring inventory levels while working with Leads to insure accuracy of inventory counts within both plants.
- Total management of material master of all parts manufactured internally.
- Basic understanding of material utilization of nesting via grouping and batching.
- Basic understanding of material flow from raw material to finished product physically and systematically.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work center operations, and production equipment.
- Ability to sit at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, interpret data trends, and draw accurate conclusions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy for problem analysis and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Must be an aggressive learner and an excellent problem solver.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in order to interact with employees and departments.
- Strong organization skills, analytical, and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to plan and execute multiple projects at one time.
- Strong computer/technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite, SAP and SalesForce.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and/or other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
