Maintenance Technician

Basic Job Functions:

The basic functions of the Maintenance Technician include preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, repairs on existing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Additional responsibilities include installation, fabrication, and startup of new equipment, and filling in for other positions in the maintenance department, as needed.  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of industrial maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Allen Bradly PLC troubleshooting and/or programming.

Industrial electrical experience.

Proven skills in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems in an industrial setting.

Welding and/or fabrication experience.

Formal education or training in a maintenance-related field.
