Basic Job Functions:
The Sales Associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to serving as the primary backup for our Customer Service Representatives (inside sales) with order entry, monitoring material through the steel making process, helping with shipments, invoicing, generating sales and marketing reports, generating customer specific reports, and traveling occasionally as needed. This position will work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of administrative office experience in sales or customer service
- Proficiency in use of computers and in use of Microsoft Office suite of programs

Preferences:
- Knowledge of flat rolled steel making and the steel industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- At least six months of sheet steel sales experience
- Steel accounts management experience
