Basic Job Functions:
The Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement of systems, processes, and product quality within the Coatings Department, including the Pickle Line and Galvanize Lines. This role focuses on improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance through data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on problem solving. The Process Engineer works closely with Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and sustain improvements. This position will work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays as business conditions warrant.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline

Preferences:
- Previous pickling/galvanizing process improvement experience.
