Basic Job Functions:

The Process Control Automation Supervisor is an integral member of the leadership team and must be committed to excellence in everything they do. The primary duties will be to lead and develop the team with respect to safety, reliability, quality, costs, process improvement, and project management. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing continual improvement initiatives related to the process through the Level 1 and Level 2 automation control systems including the PLC platforms, drive systems, system databases, setup models, etc. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience leading in an industrial environment
  • Four years of experience in process control/automation system management

  • Attention to Detail – Must be thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
