What You’ll Do:

UIG is currently seeking an Air Separation (ASU) Plant Manager located in Ghent, KY. The ASU Plant Manager oversees all site operations, including safety, team management, quality control, personnel training and development, equipment maintenance, and budget management. The duties include 24/7/365 responsibility with additional after-hours support from other ASU plants within the region.

• Ensure that safety is a core value for all team members by promoting a safe work environment and safe work practices through leading by example.
• Lead and manage plant staff, including training, development, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Continue to foster relationships between UIG teammates, various Nucor teammates, and customers.
• Oversee daily operations to meet production goals and optimize efficiency.
• Manage maintenance schedules and ensure equipment reliability.
• Responsible for managing the plant’s operating budget.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations, including ASU plant supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Experience with various software systems used at an ASU.
• A general understanding of and experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.

Nice to Have:

• 10+ years of experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations.
• Experience with tools and equipment necessary for repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Experience working independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve issues with process and plant equipment.
• Understanding of General Accounting Techniques.
