Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products has an opening for the position of Day Maintenance Supervisor at our Ghent, KY location. The Day Maintenance Supervisor's primary responsibility is to help develop our maintenance team and foster a culture that places safety above all else while aligning with the Nucor Way principles. The successful candidate will show genuine care and concern for the team, while developing them for their future roles with Nucor. They will develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, take care of our customers’ needs, and work with the NTP leadership team to continually improve our: safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability, as well as other duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing/leading others.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven maintenance leadership experience
• Actively engaged in Safety performance and improvements
• Prior steel or tube mill experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferably in Mechanical, Metallurgic, Industrial Engineering).
