Basic Job Functions:
The Logistics Administrator position will work with various personnel to meet company shipping goals, perform dispatching, invoicing, inventory, and scale house tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring availability of truck, rail and barge shipments and dispatching carriers, generating shipping documents, invoicing and directing the loading of coils.
- Arranging the transfer of coils by GTA rail to local outside processors and confirming shipments from outside processors.
- Maintaining accurate inventory locations.
- Weighing and inspecting all inbound scrap and alloy shipments via rail, truck, and for all outbound coil shipments via rail. Maintain inventory status.
- Determining scrap acceptance or rejection
- Assisting in coordination of all rail traffic movements between CSX, Steel Technologies, etc.
- Assigning stockpiles and controlling stockpile usage
- Weighing and recording of hazardous waste material railcars and forwarding manifests
- Maintaining radiation log and informing security of any incoming material over limit

Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in use of computers and in use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
