Production Planning Supervisor I

Basic Job Functions:

This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to division’s team in production planning, scheduling and inventory management functions.

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Establish and maintain a standard procedure for scheduling projects in production.
• Provide standardized, weekly reporting on plant capacity and lead times.
• Review sales orders or change orders and collaborate with engineering and procurement to provide lead times for the order.
• Ensure information is flowing correctly in the ERP system.
• Collaborate with other divisions on production capacity and load balancing.
• Identify current and project future production bottlenecks and continuous improvement of efficiencies thru better routing.

The successful candidate will build and develop relationships as well as work directly with internal and external customers.

This position is an integral member of the leadership team and will be responsible for leading the efforts to continually improve our safety, profitability, and team member development. This will include promoting a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork working with other departments to ensure consistency and the long-term success of the division.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
• Advanced computer proficiency, including advanced Excel skills
• Prior manufacturing experience
• Ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning, and inventory optimization
