Material Handler

Basic Job Functions:

• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of materials onto shelves or on pallets, racks, and/or carts
• Operate forklift, crane, and combilift to move materials to storage or shipping areas
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Loading materials to trucks or designated areas
• Moving material from storage areas to loading areas for transport and to different departments
• Other duties as assigned and modifiable job responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating forklifts
• Ability to use measuring tape
• Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions
• Prior experience working in a warehouse and /or manufacturing company
• Basic reading and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Material Handler and Inventory Control
• Certified to operate forklifts
• Knowledge of storage procedures and planning procedures
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
