Basic Job Functions:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Intern with coursework or experience in contracts law to support the processing and review of legal documents. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world legal documentation, compliance practices, and contract administration in a professional business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, organize, and process legal documents including:
    • Waivers
    • Sworn Statements
    • Warranty Letters
    • Proofs of Claim
  • Verify documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established legal and company standards
  • Assist with tracking, filing, and maintaining legal records and documentation
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information 
  • Support legal and compliance teams with administrative and research tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or coursework involving contract review or legal documentation
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Interest in corporate law, compliance, or risk management
  • Experience with contract law
