Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Logistics Coordinator.
The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for, but are not limited to collaborating with production, quality, commercial, to ensure an accurate schedule for safe on-time product deliveries, addressing any potential challenges proactively. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing timely updates on delivery schedules and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction. Provide administrative support to the department in a variety of functions including data entry and recordkeeping for all shipping functions. Communicate and interact effectively with CDL drivers, loading crews, job site crews and customers. The Logistics Coordinator will be required to cross-train in other logistics positions and may be called upon to perform other duties as required. Developing and implementing robust logistics strategies that ensure on-time, efficient order fulfillment across multiple locations, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly KPIs. Lead initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, focusing on improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall delivery efficiencies. This position may be required to work holidays and weekends as needed. Travel may also be essential on a minimal basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma
· 1-years of traffic, logistics or other relevant experience
· Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

This also includes effectively anticipating and meeting customer needs and the ability to adjust approach based on the situation.
- Business Acumen: General business knowledge and an understanding of how Nucor makes money.
- Teamwork: Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Commercial logistics experience
· Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years direct work experience
· Previous experience with SAP ERP system
· Willing to relocate to other Nucor locations for appropriate advancement opportunities if availabl
