Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft Alabama is seeking a leader for the position of Loading Lead. The Loading Lead will be responsible for taking care of the team and our customers. The Loading Lead will also be expected to work collaboratively with other teams and departments to achieve the desired results in safety, quality, talent, cost, productivity and profitability. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to day-to-day supervision of the deck loading team, training, developing, and upholding the expectations of the team. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Transferable leadership skills and experience
  • Working knowledge in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of joist and deck products
  • Bilingual
  • Willing to relocate to other Nucor locations for appropriate advancement opportunities if available.
