Basic Job Functions:

Perform a variety of HR duties and responsibilities while providing guidance and support to teammates in alignment with the Nucor Way. Serve as a resource for HR-related matters and help ensure a positive teammate’s experience.

  • Administer payroll and payroll taxes
  • Support benefits administration and enrollment activities
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Support FMLA and Leave of Absence (LOA) administration
  • Support teammate engagement initiatives and programs
  • Assist with HR audits, compliance activities, and reporting requirements
  • Support HR projects and other departmental initiatives as needed

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s degree in a related field or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
  2. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws
