Basic Job Functions:
This position will work with various personnel and effectively provide professional support to
improve efficiency of the department the teammate is in. A Mill Administrator may be assigned
any combination of the duties listed below as their primary responsibilities depending upon skills
and division needs.
Essential position responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform assigned work responsibilities and execute projects as a team member assigned to the specified Department.
- Assist with the development and implementation of department initiatives, improvement projects, and programs.
- Daily administrative activities including: document control management, training records management, recordkeeping, reporting, operational and maintenance scheduling, entering requisitions/invoicing, bonus calculations/reporting, routine communications, inventory management, etc.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and controlling standard operating procedures
- Assist with internal and external department auditing – safety, environmental, quality, record keeping, etc.
- Calibration and recordkeeping of Measuring and Testing Equipment
- Prepare reports, charts, graphs, presentations, etc. using Microsoft Office and PowerBI
- Communicate with all departments and practice confidentiality when necessary
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year administrative experience
- Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, PowerBI, website development
