General Recycling - Scale Master

Basic Job Functions:

The job functions of Scale Master include the following, but are not limited to Weighing, Grading, Sorting, and shipments all Non-ferrous and Ferrous metals purchased daily. Assure that materials purchased are done so in compliance with all Federal, State, DOT, Local laws, and ordinances.  Oversee daily operations including dispatching and direct other workers when necessary. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong Safety Record
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Non-ferrous and ferrous metal experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts
