Basic Job Functions:

As a Human Resources intern, you will be learning the responsibilities of a human resource teammate. You will acquire hands-on learning experience and mentorship through the support of a lead human resource teammate. Basic job functions are the following:

  • Assisting with onboarding programs and orientation sessions.
  • Updating and maintaining employee records in HR databases.
  • Conducting HR-related research and preparing summary reports.
  • Supporting payroll preparation by collecting timesheets, verifying attendance, and assisting with basic payroll data entry.
  • Updating and maintaining FMLA cases with teammates. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be working towards a degree in human resources.
  2. Minimum 3.0 GPA
  3. Must be able to provide reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.
  4. No relatives employed at Vulcraft- SC (Nucor Corporation Policy No 21 B 3)
