Base salary range for this position is $140,238 - $187,932.

This position is eligible for annual bonuses.

Annual Return On Assets Bonus Percentage (5 year average) = 20.7% of eligible earnings

Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 year average) = 20% of eligible earning

Are you a hands-on sales leader with a passion for coaching and mentoring? We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to support and develop our District Sales Managers (DSMs) in the Midwest Region. This role is designed for someone who thrives in the field, working alongside DSMs to set goals, track progress, and execute winning sales strategies.

 

 

Basic Job Functions:

  • Coach and mentor DSMs to drive sales performance and achieve growth targets.
  • Spend 50% of your time in the field with DSMs, providing hands-on support, guidance, and strategy development.
  • Assist DSMs in goal setting, reviewing progress, and adjusting strategies to ensure success.
  • Provide consistent feedback and training to help DSMs refine their sales techniques and customer engagement strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth within each territory.
  • Work remotely when not in the field, with a required monthly visit to the division for collaboration and alignment.

  • Proven leadership experience in sales coaching, team development, or territory sales management within a technical field.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to help DSMs refine and execute sales plans.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally with DSMs and externally with key customers.
  • A self-motivated, field-focused leader who enjoys being on the ground, driving real-time improvements.
  • Ability to work remotely while staying highly engaged with the team.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Leadership: Minimum of 4 years of experience leading high-performing sales teams, preferably in a remote or multi-state environment.
  • Coaching & Development Expertise: Demonstrated success in coaching sales professionals, driving performance through structured feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Sales Process Mastery: Deep understanding of sales methodologies and pipeline management, with a track record of implementing and optimizing sales processes to achieve growth targets.
  • Technical Aptitude: Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field that shows the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB).
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the Midwest region to support team members, attend customer meetings, and represent the company at industry events. Candidate must reside within the Midwest Territory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Construction, Engineering or related field
  • Metal Building Industry Experience
