This position is eligible for weekly production bonus and annual Profit Sharing Bonus.
Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 Year Average) = 20.4% of eligible earnings.
Base salary compensation for this position is $52,852 - $81,993.

Basic Job Functions:
- Lead the maintenance department: Lead a team of approximately 20 teammates. This includes repair, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance of equipment and machines as well as project planning an execution for facility and operation improvement.
- Set a department vision: Set and lead goals for safety, productivity, quality and culture.
- Coach your team to success: Coach and mentor department teammates in both department and career goals.
- Build your team: Work with peers to set a staffing plan, interview, and hire.
- Fueling Efficiency: Bring your skill for process improvement to the table as you identify ways to streamline operations and save costs, travel and benchmark best practices.
- Building Team Unity: Foster a culture of collaboration within our division.
- Engage as part of the division leadership team: Work with leaders from across the division and enterprise to lead Nucor Buildings Group to success.
- Be innovative: Engage in process improvement and projects to innovate the way we fabricate our products.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years leadership experience in steel fabrication or facility maintenance
- 5 years experience in steel fabrication or facility maintenance
- Experience with maintenance system management
- Experience coaching and mentoring a team
- Experience in continuous improvement concepts
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work multiple shifts
- Ability to travel for training and best marking
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and internal applications (BOMS, SICM, PITS, D365)

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 year degree in engineering or other relative field
- Experience with implementation of automation
- Experience with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC systems
