Base Salary Range: $104,644 - $140,233

Bonus Type: This position is eligible for annual bonuses. 

Annual Return on Assets Bonus Percentage (5 year average) = 20.7% of eligible earnings

Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 year average) = 20.4% of eligible earnings

Basic Job Functions:

 

  • Assist the company sales and profit efforts by driving, directing, supervising, and leading the overall activities of the Detailing Group (approx. 45 teammates).
  • Control and supervise all necessary processes to ensure that all projects meet or exceed all applicable specification and standards to guarantee our customers safe and functional buildings.
  • Work with the Detailing Group to provide safe, thorough, complete, accurate and timely detailing packages and drawings.
  • Drive quality, throughput, and efficiency initiatives within the Detailing Group.
  • Maintain industry-acceptable drawing and building lead times.
  • Along with the Detailing Group Leaders, aggressively maintain the detailing schedule to meet internal and external customer needs.
  • In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, The Detailing Manager/Supervisor is the primary individual responsible for the following:
    • Develop and implement teammate training and developmental programs as well as provide performance appraisals and recommend compensation adjustments based on performance.
    • Provide mentoring, coaching and accountability to the Detailing Group.
    • Develop and maintain current detailing policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Develop and manage realistic department staffing requirements.
    • Coordinate recruiting and interviews for additions to the Detailing Group and make hiring recommendations.
  • Along with the Engineering Manager, participates in the strategic planning for the Detailing Group and Engineering Department to meet future anticipated needs.
  • Maintain control of the detailing programs to ensure that the correct versions are being fully used.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years leadership experience
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Experience in steel construction and/or related industry
