C.H.I. Overhead Doors is a leading manufacturer of overhead doors. We have production facilities located in Illinois & Indiana, and Service Centers/Warehouse facilities in California, Colorado, New Hampshire, & New Jersey. The Service Centers are standalone operations, and are staffed with management personnel, customer service representatives, accountants, warehouse teammates, and drivers. Service Centers are key components of our business model for strategic sales growth, dealer-customer relations, and logistics.
Basic Job Functions
The Plant Manager for the Service Center leads and directs customer service and operations while engaging sales and customers to provide a world class experience for our dealer customers. The Plant Manager is responsible for developing teammates to their fullest potential, driving continuous improvement across key metrics, and building an environment focused on our core values.
Additional Functions:
- Develop team to fullest potential through mentoring and leadership
- Drive P&L Results through continuous improvement efforts
- Drive Key KPIS pertaining to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
- Lead Customer Service department by ensuring processes and policies are being followed.
- Lead Warehouse Operations by ensuring processes and policies are being followed.
- Engage Customers and Sales to grow revenue and improve the customer experience
- Assist in strategy and execution to gain market share
- Ensures all teammates follow company, state, and federal policies.
- Capable of performing all customer service, accounting, and operations positions.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Compensation
Starting Base Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 + Production Bonus
Production Bonus
Weekly Base Salary + Weekly Production Bonus
Example @ $100,000 Base: Weekly Salary = $1,923 + Weekly Production Bonus @ 40% = Total Weekly Salary = $2,692 ($139,984/year)
Profit-Sharing
10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years experience managing a standalone business operation.
- 5 years experience in a customer-facing role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or applicable field. Equivalent experience and training will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage in a fast pace environment with cross-functional teams
- General understanding of finance, cost, and accounting principles
- Proven experience driving teammate engagement
- Familiarity with engineering systems
- Experience working in Engineering, Quality, or Materials Management
