Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of C.H.I. products and programs as well as communicating effectively with teammates in multiple departments.

  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status.
  • Provides accurate information to product knowledge requests.
  • Processes or prepares customer quotes, orders, changes, and returns according to established department policies/procedures.
  • Works closely with the accounting department to resolve disputed credit items.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Onboarding and training for this position will require travel to C.H.I. Overhead Doors' headquarters in Arthur, Illinois. (Expenses are paid for or reimbursed by the company.)

Compensation

$26.37/hour ($18.84 base hourly rate + Weekly Production Bonus)

 Example: Hourly Base Rate = 18.84 Weekly Average Production Bonus = 40%. Total Hourly Rate = 26.37

 

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

 

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in Customer Service or Inside Sales
  • Education in a related field will be considered as experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Experience with CRM systems and online communication platforms.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is desirable
