Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products - Decatur is seeking applicants for the Electrical Technician position(s). The Electrical Technician will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by performing routine preventative maintenance, addressing breakdowns, and assisting in upgrades as necessary in order to improve the reliability of the equipment and process during the course of normal production hours. Duties include but are not limited to minor/extensive repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgement, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHA's, SJP's, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained, all of which are necessary for meeting job expectations and the prevention of downtime. Electrical systems knowledge is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance.
- Demonstrate understanding of electrical systems.
- Willingness to work day shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Must be able to properly lock-out all required equipment and assist other teammates in doing so.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments.
- PLC experience: Rockwell and Siemens preferred
- AC/DC/VFD motor and drive experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multicraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E
- Knowledge of LOTOTO
- Knowledge of Arc Flash Hazards
