Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for its Deployment Team to work with NBT teammates and other partners to optimize and deliver a fully functional ERP/MES system to Nucor’s Plate and Sheet Mills.
- Facilitate discussions between divisions and partners to develop aligned business processes.
- Identify business needs, translate into functional system requirements, and create and configure rule sets within MES and/or ERP applications. Testing: create test scenarios/scripts (for functional, negative and regression testing) and execute testing in various environments.
- Training: create documentation and facilitate training for both internal and external customers/users.
- Provide hands-on support for division teammates throughout system implementation project cycle.
- This role may require travel up to 75%

Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in metallurgy, materials science or IT-related field. Metallurgical experience in steel manufacturing may be substituted.
- 3+ years' experience in a steel manufacturing environment or physical testing lab.
- Experience working within a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science.
- Knowledge and real-world application of standard steel specifications.
- One or more years of experience programming and/or configuring within an MES or equivalent.
