Basic Job Functions:

 

D365 Lead Configuration Analyst - Sales, you will be responsible for implementation and support of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) F&O and its integrated technology products at Nucor. The Lead Configuration Analyst (LCA) will serve as a subject matter expert for the D365 configurations and business processes focused on engineering configurations, sales quotes, sales orders and fulfillment. This role requires business, technical and interpersonal skills, working with end users, consultants, and IT personnel. LCA will also be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting effective D365 business solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to clearly define current-state processes, work with process owners to define requirements, recommend business process improvements, and document changes to management for approval and end users for implementation.


The LCA must be able to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements. This role will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements using a variety of methods and techniques such as: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases / scenarios, and business process analysis. The LCA will evaluate information gathered from these sources and be able to recommend solutions based on the findings.

 

 

Responsible for business requirements, fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, operational assessment readiness for D365 F&O implementation

 

  • Configure various modules in D365 F&O to meet the business requirements
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize business needs; identify and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Act as a liaison between IT and functional area business units; act as coordinator to drive tasks to completion
  • Learn company business processes related to the D365 modules to assist users in the various functional area including Quoting, Sales, Pricing, Purchasing, Inventory, Distribution, and Logistics.
  • Assist with data creation, preparation and validation for the D365 and related initiatives
  • Coordinate and perform D365 and related system testing and user acceptance testing
  • Provide end user training and support as part of the D365 go-live efforts
  • Spend time with the company's functional groups to understand what systems and data is currently used and necessary to make key decisions.
  • Define requirements and design for the reports and dashboards
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and create reports; develop requirements implement data analytics and other strategies to optimize data quality
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 D365 support to business users as required
  • Coordinate activities with stakeholders, implementation partners and other consultants
  • Assist as needed in the implementation of new business technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
  • 10+ years’ experience as D365 AX/F&O Configuration Analyst or similar role, within the manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in full lifecycle D365 F&O and AX implementations with a focus in customer processes like, quoting, sales order, pricing, purchase orders and shipment
  • Experience configuring various modules in D365 F&O to meet business requirements and building functional design documents
  • Familiarity with the technology stack supporting D365 and the customizations or extensions (X++, SQL, Power Platform, etc.)
  • Extensive experience working in core Engineer-to-make and business processes in the following key functional areas:
    • Quoting
    • Sales Order
    • Pricing
    • Purchasing
    • Inventory Management
    • Master Data / PIM
    • Distribution/Logistics
  • Well versed in end-to-end manufacturing operational concepts of engineer-to-order and made-to-stock processes
  • Knowledge of core ERP processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, etc.)
  • Able to work independently and as a team member and mentor other teammates as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience with Manufacturing or Distribution industry verticals preferred
  • Strong business analysis skills with great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools like AutoCAD, Inventor and Tekla used to help create sales quote in D365 is a big plus.
  • Experience in ISV like Bluestar and Experlogix CPQ tool is a big plus.
  • Detail and process-oriented approach to problem solving, with a strong understanding of ERP data analysis, especially related to manufacturing and distribution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power Platform or related software.
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
  • Ability to build productive relationships and influence all levels of the organization towards alternative ways of looking at a business situation/solution
  • Able to work independently and as a team member and mentor other teammates as needed
  • Experience or knowledge of developing reports or apps using tools like Power BI and Power Platform
  • Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
